High School Exam Protocols - Second Semester


Seniors are allowed to be exempt for final exams with an
A
average for the semester, and no more than four (4) absences.

Students in Advanced Placement (AP) classes have official AP exams in May.  Teachers of AP classes will provide a project-based exam to be completed during the exam schedule.

The following exemptions are allowed to students in SOL courses (when a parent signs the exemption form):

-Students (grades 9-12) who pass the SOL test required during the year are enrolled in the SOL course will be eligible for a sliding scale exam exemption in the SOL course.  The following scale will apply:


SOL Test Score Grade on Final Exam
        400-420             60 (D)
        421-460             70 (C)
        461-499             80 (B)
        500-599             90 (A)
           600             95 (A+)

If students choose, they still may take the final exam in the course.  The higher of the two grdes will be used as the exam grade when calculating the student's final grade for the course.

Thursday, May 23rd - Regular School Day 8:42am - 3:30pm
Bridge - Final Exam (9-12)*

Friday, May 24th - Regular School Day 8:42am - 3:30pm
A2/A3 Underclass Exam (9-11)

Tuesday, May 28th - Regular School Day 8:42am - 1:00pm
B2/B3 Underclass Exam (9-11)

Wednesday, May 29th - Regular School Day 8:42am - 1:00pm
A1/B1 Underclass Exam (9-11)

Thursday, May 30th - Zero Hour, Make Up Exams (9-11)
Dismissal 1:30pm
