Exam Exemptions for Seniors - Senior are allowed to be exempt for final exams with an "A" average
for the semester.
Examinations for AP Students
Students in Advanced Placement (AP) classes have official AP exams in May. Teachers of AP classes will provide a project-based exam to be completed during the exam schedule.
Exam Exemptions in SOL Courses
The following exemptions are allowed to students in SOL courses (when a parent signs the exemption form):
Students (grades 9-12) who pass the SOL test required during the year they are enrolled in the SOL course will be eligible for a sliding exam exemption in the SOL course. The following scale will apply:
If students choose, they may still take the final exam in the course. The higher of the two grades will be used as the exam grade when calculating the student's final grade for the course. If you have any questions, please contact the student's Guidance Counselor.

Do you want to go to college and have your tuition paid for?
Graduating Seniors from Roanoke City Public Schools can attend Virginia Western Community College and have their tuition paid. For full details about CCAP, click here.

Student Financial Obligations
A friendly reminder that all student financial obligations (class fees, club dues, library fines, library books, textbooks, etc.) must be current by March 7th. Unpaid obligations may result in non-participation of school activities.
Students who wish to park on campus must obtain a Student Parking Permit. Cost of permit is $25.00 for half semester, and $50.00 for the year. Students who park on campus without a William Fleming High School Parking Permit, will have their vehicle ticketed and/or towed at owner's expense. If you wish to purchase a parking permit, applications are available in the main office.
